Our Very First Christmas Extravaganza!
On Friday, December 15, we had our First Ever Christmas Extravaganza! There were Christmas songs, and in addition to Christmas songs, the youth group presented a Christmas mystery via video that the kids who attended the event had to help solve. Tyler and Jonathan, pictured above, helped guide the kids in finding clues. Tyler and Jonathan also led all who attended the Extravaganza in playing a Christmas Trivia game, which was a lot of fun and included some friendly competition.
Another fun activity that everyone could participate in was raising glow sticks that matched the color of blocks moving upward on a screen while a Christmas tune played. As the blocks got smaller and moved faster, raising and lowering our glow sticks at the right time became quite a challenge.
Winners of both of the above mentioned activities received gift cards. There were also names of attendees drawn from a basket, and those attendees whose names were drawn also received gift cards.
Gift cards were for Dutchway, Fox Meadows Creamery, Dairy Queen, and New Holland Coffee Company. Following the singing, games, drawings, and the solving of the mystery, everyone gathered downstairs in our fellowship hall for cookies, cider, and, of course, fellowship.
There was a good turnout for the event with members of our congregation, as well as people who had visited in the past and people who had never been to Grace Fellowship Church before. Everyone was welcome and a good time was had by all in attendance.
